Privacy notice
Last updated: 30 October 2026
Build is run by AL Jesr, a nonprofit. This notice says in plain words what Build keeps about you and why, in line with Lebanon's Law 81/2018 on electronic transactions and personal data.
Who is responsible
AL Jesr, a nonprofit registered in the Qatar Financial Centre, runs Build at build.aljesr.org and is responsible for your data. Build is free. We show no ads and we do not sell data.
What we store
Your phone number, your name, your trade and area, and your PIN (kept only in scrambled form, so we cannot read it).
What you do on projects: agreements, quotes, invoices, payments you record, materials lists, milestones, tasks and bookings, and the messages Build prepares for you to send on WhatsApp.
Technical records: the time of each action, and a scrambled code of your device and network address when you sign, book or sign in.
Build never moves money. It only records payments that you tell it about.
Why we store it
To run your projects and the shared record with the people you work with, to let people you invite or who book you reach you, and to keep the app safe, for example to stop people guessing PINs. We use it for nothing else.
Who can see it
Only the people on a project see that project, and each person sees only what involves them. Money between two people stays between them unless they choose to share it.
If you turn on your booking link, the public page shows your name, trade and area. It never shows your phone number before you confirm a booking.
When you send a link on WhatsApp, WhatsApp carries that message. Build sends nothing by itself. Our hosting providers process data for us under contract.
Where it is kept
In the European Union. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
While you have an account. Shared records, such as a confirmed invoice or payment, are kept as long as the people on them need them.
How to have it deleted
Write to us from the phone number you signed up with and say you want your account deleted. We delete your login, your profile and your booking page, and remove your name from records only you made.
Records shared with another person, such as a confirmed invoice or payment, stay for that person because they are part of their records. Your name on them is replaced by "Deleted user" where the law allows.
Your rights
Under Law 81/2018 you may ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to object to its use, and to have it deleted.
